Community Plumbing Project of College of the Canyons Students is Completed

This spring, two of the transferred students participated in the College "grooves community plumbing project," I serve the good internship learning led by the Department "plumbing technology" of the college and the advisory board for the industry.
As part of the project, plumbing technology students was the Code of Conduct Philip Griffin and Brandon Harrison Koglr- the opportunity to work side by side with professional plumbers skilled workers to complete the project's multi-faceted residential plumbing, and two days in a private home in Santa Clarita.
Work focused on several much-needed renewal of plumbing and replacements that are designed to help restore arrival hot water and bring home water heater up to code and replace the pipes leak, re vertically and move the washer drier and accessions, sewage disposal problems improper and ensure that the overall home plumbing system operate efficiently.
Beginning with the project walk through in the middle of March / March, Griffin and Harrison Kugler involved with every aspect of the project.
"Home have survey and wrote the draft, presented a list of tools and materials, set a time table for the project, and the completion of the permit process and put placebo project estimates, and the proposal," said Randy Winter, faculty member of the plumbing code of conduct and the owner of the building winter Randall, Inc., which He was one of the main organizers of the project plumbing.

"It is through working on this project I talked about in class, or learning to do all the users hands-on things that you do the others" Harrison Kugler. "I did more work than ever before in any other place, but more than that I would like in this way."
It also seems to echo the feeling Griffin Koglr- Harrison about working on the project.
He said that "many of these jobs've never had the opportunity to work in a real house before - always only in the laboratory," Griffin, referring to the time spent as part of the plumbing technology college program. "Has been a great experience, but the best part is being able to do something to help someone else."

All materials, time and labor required to do this project were donated.

"Our students plumbing gain experience in the practical training industry while receiving college credit. This program was designed "plumbing technology Code of Conduct" to help address the current and long-term need for a sustainable work force of qualified and trained plumbers are well trained in all parts of the state.
Currently, the college offers plumbing certificate programs in the fields of 'new construction' and 'repair service'. Both programs have been developed in collaboration with industry partners to ensure that the instruction meets the various industry skills standards
